While there's always wondering about what a refined sequel might have looked like, there's a part of me that finds it's fairly scrappy and sometimes messy design is part of the charm. In a way it ends up, possibly by accident, falling into the MGS style of game structure where the actual amount of game is pretty brief, yet you just love what's there. It pulls like the reverse MGS4 and the nonsense just lands completely, if you look at what the last stage entails it's one ho-hum segment of standard gameplay with nothing much to it (designed for stealth no less!), and then two boss fights with a heaping dollop of cutscenes in between, but it’s hype I swear!
